In 1861was member and officer of the American Protestant Association, an antiPope hate organization. In 1867 the name changed to German AmericanProtestant Association and held meetings every Friday in Germania #3,Judah's Block, across the street from the Court House on Washington St.between Delaware & Alabama Sts.
